MUNA Academy VOL.3 Concludes in Skopje

Skopje – The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) Local Branch Office in North Macedonia recently concluded a six-week MUNA Academy program in Skopje for the second time. The program was designed to equip youth with essential skills for engaging in regional cooperation and understanding the operations of the United Nations. The academy focused on practical and experiential learning tailored for participants interested in Model UN conferences and other international platforms.

The opening session featured a warm welcome from the Head of the Local Branch Office, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjevski who spoke about the Berlin Process and opportunities for regional collaboration. The academy also welcomed Matthew Flannes, a political officer from the US Embassy in Skopje, who provided valuable insights into diplomatic processes and international relations.

Under the facilitation and coordination of Georgina Kominovska, MUNA Communications Director, participants delved into the core structure of Model UN conferences. They engaged in hands-on activities such as preparing opening speeches and position papers, and collaboratively developed solutions for globally significant issues.

Organized by The United Nations Association of North Macedonia, the MUNA Academy has prepared participants to become effective leaders and advocates for international cooperation and peace. RYCO remains committed to fostering opportunities for youth development and looks forward to continuing its support for such transformative programs.
